Planning a window job? Here's how long it realistically takes — from a single pane to a whole house.
Glass-only repairs are fast
If only the glass has failed — a cracked pane or a misted sealed unit — replacing the glass while keeping your frame is quick. A standard unit is often swapped in well under an hour per window, and many repairs are completed the same day once the right glass is to hand.
Non-standard or bespoke glass sizes are measured first and fitted within a few days.
Full window replacement
Replacing a complete window — frame and all — typically takes a couple of hours per window. A full house of ten to fifteen windows is usually completed in a single day by a fitting team, sometimes two days for larger properties or trickier access.
Bay windows and feature windows take a little longer due to their construction.
